The 6 Skincare Products That I Can’t Live Without

Growing up, i’ve never been the one to obsess over skincare products. I always avoided those Sephora conversations with the associates and despised the idea of spending more than 10 minutes in the store trying to find the perfect collection for my very dry skin type. However, my mom has always encouraged me that the more I take care of my skin, the better I will feel – and she’s totally right! Do I really want to take my make up off and do a full on routine at midnight? Not really. But, wow do I feel amazing right after I put that final cream touch on my face? Absolutely!

You certainly don’t have to be a full on skincare or makeup ‘guru’ to appreciate some top quality merchandise, but it is important to have some products that you can always count on to help refresh and rejuvenate your skin. Here are my top six favourite skincare products that I can’t live without.

1. Boscia – Exfoliating Peel Gel

The best word to describe this product is MAGIC.

This is an amazing product for people (like myself) who have dry skin areas. With just a small pump, the exfoliation removes all dead skin cells and penetrates deep into the skin for an in-depth peeling finish. I usually use this gel 1-2 times a week and its mostly before I apply any makeup products to ensure a clean surface to the face.

2. Fresh – Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash

I really wish you guys can smell this right now! It’s the best smelling face scrub I have ever used and it has worked wonders on my skin. It gently removes any excess oils without drying my skin and leaves a smooth and soft finish before my next step. The scrub texture is super comfortable and easy to apply. Oh, and did I mention that it smells incredible?

I mostly combine this product when I am using the Boscia peel gel ( 1-2 times a week) since they are both exfoliators and leave a healthy looking complexion after usage.

3. First Aid Beauty – Facial Radiance Pads

Ah my box just finished, which reminds me that I need to go to a local Sephora and grab a few more ASAP.

These pads help brighten your face, and leave a smooth canvas before any makeup application. It helps to tone the skin and remove any excess dirt or makeup in case you’re using it during your nighttime routine as well. I usually use this everyday as the wipes are hydrating and convenient in size.

4. Garnier – Micellar Cleansing Water

Are you really surprised? The Garnier micellar water has been a fan favourite for all dermatologists and gurus in the beauty industry. Not only is it designed for all skin types but it is an effective way to removing dirt, oil, and makeup. Additionally, one of the best parts about it is the fact that it never causes any sensitive damage to the eyes when rubbing the makeup product right off. It erases my mascara, eyeshadow, and eyebrow pencil particles with just one quick swipe.

I use this product as a toner everyday, especially before I use the ‘First Aid Beauty’ pads. It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed without over- drying certain areas. A total 10/10!

5. Skinfix – Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser

This creamy cleanser leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. It gently removes makeup, creates hydration, reduces any blotchiness, and visibly reduces redness from the skin.

I use this cleanser everyday, as it has truly helped with my dry skin and uneven texture. The product plumps my face and is a wonderful starter to the rest of my skincare routine!

6. Belif – The True Aqua Bomb

To be completely honest with you, I would recommend their entire collection if you as well suffer from dry skin. Whether it’s their eye cream or sleeping face mask, this brand is a total game changer.

My skin is always feeling nourished and smooth after using this hydrating aqua bomb cream. The brand as well has an additional cream called, ‘The True Moisturizing Bomb’, which is highly recommended during winter time since the season has a tendency to dry out the skin more. So cool, right?
