Things To Do In Quarantine For Each Day Of The Week

Still stuck in quarantine or just bored at home? Well don’t worry, you’re not alone! This pandemic has certainly been a difficult time for all of us, and has granted us more free time than ever before. It has given us a chance to find new hobbies, spend time with our loved ones, and reflect on our day to day challenges.

Now I know what you’re thinking, “I’ve already watched all the new Netflix shows & movies, what more can I do?” Well, if you’re still in lockdown and need creative ways to be productive this week then keep scrolling! Remember to do things that bring you joy and positivity.

Monday – Start A Blog or Journal

What better way to start something new than on the first day of the week with a fresh mind & a killer attitude. Starting a new blog or journal can help you reflect on your passions as a writer. It allows you to discuss various topics & ideas about things that inspire you. When writing a journal, you can simply ask yourself questions like:

  • What do I want to accomplish today?
  • What do I want to get done by the end of the week?
  • What will I learn today?

Having that personal blog or journal will help you keep track of your activities and learning experiences throughout the week. A blog on the other hand can give you chance to express your inner Carrie Bradshaw, and allow you share tips & tricks to an entire online audience – just like yourself! You can analyze topics such as:

  • Your favourite books
  • Recipes
  • Fashion advice
  • Adventurous ideas to do in your city & so much more!

You are reading a blog right now right? So why not start your own! Besides, spending even as little as 20 minutes writing could be time well spent when staying productive during quarantine.

Tuesday – Enrol In A FREE Course or Learn About A Social Issue

Knowledge is power! It’s important to constantly educate ourselves and learn new skills for future ventures. There are tons of online webinars, lectures, and modules that provide a wide range of foundation level courses to help you learn about arts, politics, law, business, and so much more. These courses can even help you achieve further certifications, which can benefit you in potential job opportunities.

Additionally, being a Law & Society alumni has made me passionate about social issues occurring in our everyday environment. Whether its BLM, women’s rights, human rights, or politics, these topics will help you stay informed on how these issues effect citizens and minorities all over the world. It’s important to stay educated on discussions that can positively change future generations. Will you be part of the movement?

Wednesday – Learn A New Skill

Hmm, ever wanted to learn how to paint, play an instrument, learn a new language or finish a complicated puzzle in less than 20 minutes? Well, now you have all the time in the world! Learning a new skill will keep you entertained and inspired to work on yourself and your interests.

These activities can increase your brain memory, problem solving skills, and overall IQ! Here are some ideas besides the ones I already mentioned:

  • Solving the rubix cube
  • Learning how to play chess
  • Knitting
  • Master photoshop
  • Photography
  • Cooking/baking and so much more!

Thursday – Meditate

Breath in…..and now breath out! It’s important to be mindful of your surroundings during quarantine as meditation can help you get a peace of mind during these uncertain times. Find a quiet place in your home with relaxing lights and good energy. This will relive any stress and allow you to clear your headspace before continuing the rest of your wonderful week.

Friday – Experiment on Social Media

Yes I know, you’re probably already on all the popular social media platforms, but why not try to use them in cool & effective ways? Try downloading an app you’ve never used before and find ways to meet new people outside of your inner circle.

Maybe make a Tiktok or a Youtube channel outlining your daily workouts, fashion & beauty tips, and much more. Furthermore, you can grasp information about hidden secrets on your favourite apps and learn more about how marketing can be used to create engagement and brand success.

Saturday – Clean Out

Ah don’t you just love cleaning out your closet? I do! Spend your Saturday organizing and cleaning out your closet because let’s be honest, we might as well pass the time. If your closet is complete, you can clean out your room for any unnecessary papers or objects. Don’t forget to vacuum & clean off the dust for a fresh finish.

Sunday – Create A Vision Board

Creating a vision board is one of the most productive activities you can do during your personal time. It allows you to reflect on your dreams, goals, and ambitions. Maybe you want to place a picture of your next job, dream body image, your new fashion style, or your favourite quotes to live by!

Reach for the stars – No vision board is ever too big or too small! Make it unique and relevant to your lifestyle. Be sure to look it over a few times a month and have some space to add and detach pictures as your life goes by. This activity will motivate and inspire you to achieve greatness, and be the extra push you need to take on your new journey.
