Not only does waking up early allow us to be more productive, but it as well makes our day less stressful and tense. Check out these 5 ways to finally become a morning person!
Step One: Stop Hitting Snooze
Hitting that ‘snooze’ button every 10 minutes is no way to transform into an early riser. If you set your morning alarm to a certain time, be ready to wake up the minute you hear it. Dragging on the snooze will only make you more tired and anxious about starting your day. Be sure to avoid that extra 10 minutes of sleep in order to start your early day filled with energy & strength.

Step Two: Change Up Your Alarm Sound
When that first beat hits in our sleep, it’s the first sound that will determine our mood. It is essential to wake up to calm and peaceful sounds to help you get excited & motivated to move out of bed. However, try to switch up your sounds so that new tunes can enter your mind. Whether its your favourite album or some rainforest harmonies, explore your music library and introduce it to your sleeping schedule!

Step Three: Let Some Light In
Letting some light in will tell your body that the day has begun. Whether its a simple lamp in your room or a full ceiling to floor window, be sure to open your eyes to a beautiful bright light. Waking up to a dark room will trick your mind into thinking that your morning routine is nowhere near. Let that light shine and give your eyes an exciting reason to open up and start the day.

Step Four: Exercise or Meditate
Whether you start your morning off with a few deep breaths, some yoga stretching, or a full body workout, exercising is a crucial factor in releasing stress and anxiety. Although exercising at an early time is not everyone’s ideal scenario, it is important to take care of our bodies by waking up our morning energy and feeling concurred to take on a new adventure.

Step Five: Start a Morning Journal
Starting a morning journal will help you analyze your dreams, goals, & ambitions for the day. Asking yourself questions like:
- What did I dream last night?
- How do I feel today?
- What will I do today?
- What will I give today?
These short questions will allow you to open up your inner thoughts and set goals for yourself. This strategy can help you stay organized, creative, & innovative during your first few minutes of waking up. It’s nice to know that you will have something new to jot down the next day – so take a moment each morning to reflect on your day, and take over the world.
